Allison Perryman | The Cultural Classroom
Allison Perryman has over a decade experience as a classroom Spanish teacher and additional experience with other Romance languages. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusivity, Allison emphasizes the importance of confronting biases in the Spanish classroom.
Drawing from her personal experiences and upbringing in a Hispanic community, she offers a unique perspective on transforming perspectives and cultivating culture in the curriculum. Her dynamic approach involves engaging students through authentic materials, guest speakers, celebrations, virtual trips, and fostering an inclusive environment.
Her commitment to these principles is at the core of her work as the founder of "The Cultural Classroom," an organization dedicated to helping teachers incorporate authentic culture into their classrooms.
